Cameron Smith was putting on a short-game show whilst preparing for LIV Golf’s UK event at JCB Golf and Country Club.
The sell-out UK stop has proven popular with the fans as the league makes its final European stop before heading back stateside for the Greenbrier event in the middle of August.
JCB will provide an interesting challenge this week, with quick greens, thick rough and longer holes set to test players. Sergio Garcia claimed that the scoring could be as high as five under or as low as 20 under.
Smith has enjoyed a positive season, currently sitting seventh in the individual standings and is coming off a T6 finish in Andalucia.
Cameron Smith dazzles fans on the practice green at JCB

Smith’s short-game prowess is well known. Bryson DeChambeau has even claimed Smith is one of the best putters he’s ever seen.
During his 2022 Open Championship win at St Andrews, the Aussie pulled off some impressive up and downs, and now he’s been showcasing his chipping at JCB.
As documented by journalist Evin Priest on X, Smith was seen playing a ridiculous flop shot on the lightning-fast practice green.
Cameron Smith looking to bounce back from uncharacteristic Open Championship display
Smith produced an uncharacteristic performance at last week’s Open, finishing on 12 over and well outside the cut line.
The Aussie was left to rue a disastrous eight-over-par 80 on day one, which pretty much played him out of the tournament.
Considering his previous success in links conditions, the 30-year-old missing the cut was one of the biggest shocks, along with Bryson DeChambeau and Rory McIlroy.
With attention now firmly back on the LIV Golf season, Smith will be hopeful of finally landing his first 2024 win. Having placed T2 twice, it feels like it’s only a matter of time before the Aussie is victorious.
