Bryson DeChambeau has been the talk of the golfing world in recent weeks after his US Open victory at Pinehurst No.2 – and he’s loving the limelight.
The big-hitting American was quick to head to New York immediately after his second major triumph and is now competing in LIV Golf’s Nashville event at The Grove.
Unsurprisingly, the 30-year-old has been a man in demand in recent days, and Golf Digest were the latest to sit down with him and produce their own unique piece of content with the LIV Golf star.
Bryson DeChambeau says Cam Smith’s putting is ‘unbelievable’

In a short video posted on X, DeChambeau was asked the players who would make up his ‘perfect’ golfer.
And it was no shock to see Phil Mickelson and Tiger Woods mentioned. “I know Phil’s short game, Tiger 2000 driving, iron play, probably Brooks when he’s on, or Will Zalatoris; those two are a good option,” he explained.
Despite admitting his putting is quite good, DeChambeau claimed he would love to have Cameron Smith’s ability with the flat stick.
He added: “Then for putting, when I’m on, I am pretty solid at putting, but Cam Smith is unbelievable; he is by far one of the best putters I have ever seen.”
Bryson DeChambeau’s putting is more than good enough at the moment
Given his performance on Pinehurst’s tricky greens, DeChambeau is probably more than content with where his putting is currently at.
During the Masters at Augusta National in April, Nick Faldo was heavily critical of the American’s putting technique; those criticisms have been answered emphatically.
DeChambeau clearly has an all-round game to match the world’s best players, but his short game and putting have perhaps gone under the radar.
Delivering clutch shots around the greens appears to be the American’s forte.
