Predictions

The Golfing Gazette writers predict who they think will walk away with the Travelers Championship title and grand cash prize:

Lee Connor: “I’ll go for Ludvig Aberg. The guy is a superstar and has come close at both the Masters and the US Open so a win in a big event is due. He played well at the US Open before tailing off and with Scottie Scheffler a bit out of sorts and no Rory McIlroy around, I’m tipping Aberg to get over the line.”

Sam Stone: “It’s hard to predict how Scottie Scheffler will react from his indifferent performance at Pinehurst, but if the world number one is still off the boil, Collin Morikawa is the man to beat here. The American finished T14 at the US Open and ran close at the Memorial the week prior. He’s consistently among the leaders and could finally land his first win of 2024 at TPC River Highlands.”

Jordan Harris: “Behind Scottie Scheffler, Xander Schauffele is the biggest name in the field this week, and he is also a previous winner so the PGA Champion gets the nod, with Scheffler clearly not happy with where his game was at last week at Pinehurst. For a bit of an outside pick, look out for Corey Conners who has made 17/17 cuts this season and finished in the top 10 at the US Open.”
