Bryson DeChambeau’s YouTube collaboration with Donald Trump is the talk of the golfing world, and the former President made some very interesting comments about one current LIV Golf star.

The pair joined forces at Trump’s Bedminster course and attempted to break 50 from the red tees. DeChambeau confirmed the 18-hole challenge was a fundraiser for America’s veterans.

The video gathered 3.5million hits just 15 hours after release. Furthermore, DeChambeau has finally hit the one million subscriber mark on YouTube.

Toward the back end of the video, Trump told DeChambeau that he was a big fan of Patrick Reed’s game.

“Do you know whose game I like, Patrick Reed,” said Trump. “He just looks like a golfing machine. He’s tough and nasty, and he’s a great chipper, I hear.”

DeChambeau also lauded his compatriot’s short game.

“He’s unbelievable,” said DeChambeau. “One of the best [chippers]. He taught me a lot, actually.”

Trump’s love of golf is well known, and the 78-year-old wasn’t afraid to discuss some of his previous experiences.

The American owns 17 golf courses worldwide, and, speaking to DeChambeau, Trump admitted that Turnberry is his favourite.

Turnberry was previously an Open Championship venue but won’t be returning to the rota anytime soon. The R&A announced in 2021 that the most prestigious major of the year wouldn’t return to the famous Scottish venue while Trump was associated.

There are also Trump International courses in Ireland and Aberdeen. The venue on Scotland’s eastern tip is renowned as one of the best properties in the world.
