Tony Finau’s wife has posted a social media message after rumours emerged linking the American with a move to LIV Golf.
Speculation emerged over the weekend suggesting Finau’s move to LIV was done. Finau has since withdrawn from the Hero World Challenge, a similar move to what Jon Rahm made just before the Spaniard signed for LIV in 2023.
Right now, all signs suggest Finau is ready to end his PGA Tour career. The American has won six times on tour since earning his full membership in 2015.
With the PIF and the PGA Tour still in negotiations, it remains unclear whether a merger will take place. As a result, some high-profile names, like Finau, could be set to move.
Finau has yet to comment on the rumours; his wife Layna, however, has reacted on her personal TikTok account.

Layna posted a cryptic TikTok video with background audio, which alluded to “drama”. The footage then panned to Finau and an image of a news story which linked the American to LIV Golf.
It remains to be seen just how much Finau has been offered to make the move or when an announcement will be made.
Given that the six-time PGA Tour winner hasn’t denied the rumours, it wouldn’t be surprising to hear confirmation in the coming days.

It’s not the first time Finau has been linked with a move to LIV. Back in 2023, Finau didn’t completely shut down the prospect of moving to the Saudi-backed venture.
“I have nothing to say right now. I haven’t heard anything,” he said when asked about LIV Golf links. “No, not yet. I haven’t let anything marinate other than just playing right now.”
With Rahm’s Legion XIII on the lookout for a new signing, Finau being added to the Spaniard’s roster for the 2025 season could well be on the cards.
