The 2025 Ryder Cup is still some way away, but fans have already been left frustrated by event organisers.
USA fans are angry at Ryder Cup ticket prices, which range from $255 for practice rounds to $750 for Friday to Sunday.
Whether the PGA of America listen to such anger and change ticket prices remains to be seen, with the competition set to get underway next September.
Team USA need all the support they can get at Bethpage Black, with plenty of pressure set to be on the hosts.
They are playing on home soil in New York, and also suffered a heavy defeat to Team Europe at the 2023 Ryder Cup.

Smylie Kaufman makes 2025 Ryder Cup ticket plea
Smylie Kaufman has now got involved with the ticket price controversy, having shared his thoughts on The Smylie Show.
“It’s pricing out the target audience which would make the atmosphere go from one level to the next,” he said. “The millennials, the people who are in their 20’s or 30’s, starting a family or just getting out of college.
“The people who will create some energy in this thing, those are the folks who are going to go out and drink some beer and have a good time with their buddies. Yeah, it’s a bucket list deal but that doesn’t mean it has to be 750 bucks.
“I don’t know what the number should be but if it were me and I had to put a ballpark on it, I would say that if you asked me what a Ryder Cup ticket should cost and what you think it should cost, I would say $250 I would understand that. $300 I would say okay I can see how they get there.
“But I feel like this is too corporate the way these prices look to me, because corporations are going to gobble up these tickets and buy these $750 tickets no problem, because why wouldn’t you?
“It’s one of the best events in the world and to bring your clients out there to watch it you really can’t beat that.”
Will ticket prices change for the 2025 Ryder Cup at Bethpage Black?
Kaufman has hyped up the competition, but Ryan Lavner has warned Ryder Cup fans that it is not a spectator-friendly event.
New York’s Bethpage Black plays host less then a year from now, with team captains Keegan Bradley and Luke Donald certain to be well on with their preparations.
The former has a huge task on his hands after Zach Johnson’s failures in Rome, which could get even more complicated should he decided to play at the event.

And there is very little pressure on the latter, with Donald earning the respect of the Europeans thanks to their fine success in Italy.
Regardless of ticket prices, the competitors should make it a thrilling spectacle, with many USA and European players in superb form.
But it will, of course, be a much more entertaining and exciting tournament if fans are helped by a reduction in ticket prices.
