Keegan Bradley will be eager to put his Ryder Cup losses behind him when he captains Team USA next year.

Bradley will lead the hosts at Bethpage Black in New York next September, taking over the role from Zach Johnson.

The latter was on the losing side in Rome last September, with Luke Donald guiding Team Europe to 2023 Ryder Cup success.

Donald will once again captain the Europeans, who are seeking the first Ryder Cup away win since the Miracle at Medinah in 2012.

PGA Tour player Michael Kim thinks Team USA will win the 2025 Ryder Cup, while Justin Thomas believes Bradley can be a playing captain.

Keegan Bradley confirms number of Ryder Cup captain’s picks

Bradley has a 4-3-0 record from his 2012 and 2014 Ryder Cup appearances, although he lost both events.

Now in the captain’s seat, the American has confirmed the Team USA qualification system for Bethpage Black.

Asked in his latest Ryder Cup press conference for an update on the qualification system and his captain’s picks in particular, Bradley replied: “We’re going to keep it the same. I think the points system does a great job in identifying the 12 best players.

“We play our elevated events and our majors carry so much weight, and I think that’s important with how strong the fields are week-to-week, the pressure of playing in these big tournaments and these majors, and that shows up on the points list.”

Will Keegan Bradley play at the 2025 Ryder Cup?

Bradley already has one over his Ryder Cup counterpart, having won both matches against Donald at the 2012 tournament.

But his fine record at the event and indeed his two PGA Tour wins in 2023 were overlooked by Johnson last time out.

The Team USA captain fell to a 16½-11½ defeat in Rome, with Bradley now eager to turn the tides on home soil.

He could, however, make his third playing appearance, having recently secured the winning point for the US Team at the Presidents Cup.

Moreover, his superb world ranking position comes after the American won the BMW Championship in the FedExCup Playoffs in August.
