Injuries are part and parcel of any sport and golf is no different.
We’ve seen over the years how Tiger Woods has had his issues and even this season, Jordan Spieth has had to go and have surgery to correct a problem he’s been battling with.
As always, nobody wants to see the top players in any sport injured but at the moment, golf seems to be rife with it.

Billy Horschel had been suffering with a back injury prior to winning the BMW PGA, while Jon Rahm has had issues over on the LIV tour as well.
And now, according to Bunkered, European star Viktor Hovland is the latest to join the injury list.

Viktor Hovland ruled out until 2025 with fresh golf injury
According to the report from Bunkered, Hovland is now done for 2024 when it comes to golf and won’t be teeing it up again until 2025.
It’s claimed that Hovland has sustained what is so far an unknown injury issue which will prevent him from playing in the season finales on the DP World Tour.
Hovland had a bit of a miserable year on the PGA Tour and missed the cut at three majors before finishing third at the PGA.
The Dane remains one of the top young players in the world of golf, though.
Hovland has ten professional wins to his name, including six on the PGA Tour, which included winning the FedEx Cup in 2023.
Hovland can come back better for a major run in 2025
2025 is a big year for golf in general and for Viktor Hovland, it’s no different.
A deal with LIV and the PGA is expected at some point in the next year or two, while we also have the Ryder Cup coming up as well next year.
For Hovland, getting fit for a run at the majors and then being fit for the Ryder Cup is going to be front and centre of his mind.
Yes, getting over this injury is key. But from there, he needs to find the form he showed in 2023 and get back to being one of the best in the world.
If he does that, then Europe have a pretty formidable player on their hands at Bethpage.
