Billy Horschel is among those battling it out at Wentworth this week and he’s given an update on a troubling injury problem he’s had of late.

The popular Horschel has made it to the BMW PGA Championship after pulling out of the Irish Open last weekend.

Horschel is playing well as well, and at the time of writing was three under for his second round and seven under overall as he looks to win the tournament for a second time.

Of course, nobody likes to see injuries to the world’s best golfers and with Jordan Spieth among those to pick up injury, it can be a concern for the top players in terms of their comebacks.

However, for Horschel, it looks like things are looking positive.

Billy Horschel gives update on his injury after playing two rounds at Wentworth

Speaking to the media at Wentworth, Horschel addressed his injury issues and admitted he’s hoping things are behind him now.

“Yeah, the back, muscle/rib, last two weeks, I could barely make a golf swing some days. I just needed an extra week at home to give it rest,” Horschel said.

“I haven’t done a lot, so still trying to look after it a little bit. But the swing, it feels a lot better. I haven’t had any issues. Putting more time on the range, so far, so good.

“The muscle seems to be healing up a little bit and hopefully I don’t have to deal with it anymore.”

Horschel is one of the big names who will be confident heading into the weekend at the BMW.

While a number of players are in the mix, Horschel has been there and done it before and knows what it takes to win.

And with his injuries now looking like a thing of the past, Horschel will be keen to press on and go into 2025 as one of the leading contenders for the majors and Ryder Cup places.
