Scottie Scheffler won the PGA Championship last week – the third major title of his career to date.
Scheffler is the world number one and his form in recent weeks has shown us all exactly why.
By his standards, the 28-year-old actually endured a really slow start to the 2025 season following a hand injury that he sustained around Christmas, but that has all changed now after two wins in his last two events.
Scheffler’s simplistic approach to the game is what makes him so great.
He is remarkably consistent and that is proven by the fact that he has finished inside the top-10 in seven of the 10 events he has played this season.

The Dallas native is incredibly driven when it comes to achieving greatness.
Scheffler said he is playing the Charles Schwab Challenge to win, while many other top golfers have their feet up at home.
Scottie Scheffler’s actions after winning the PGA Championship prove one thing
Scheffler has proven recently that he is a class apart from the rest.
He’s just such a normal and down-to-earth guy, and that’s why he’s so popular with the fans.
The 15-time PGA Tour winner is in the field at the Charles Schwab Challenge in his home state this month.
He is one of only two players inside the top 10 in the Official Golf World Rankings to play at Colonial Country Club.
In fact, only five of the world’s top 20 committed to play in the Charles Schwab Challenge.

The tournament this week in Texas doesn’t have the pizzazz that most other events do, nor does it have the extortionate purse like some of the bigger championships do.
And it is so typical of Scheffler that he chose to play here when most of the other top players in the world didn’t.
Scheffler made correct decision just before the PGA Championship as well
The three-time major champion made a fairly unusual call just before the PGA Championship as well, but it was absolutely spot on.
Whilst all of his rivals chased down the money at the Truist Championship – a signature event at Philadelphia Cricket Club, Scheffler stayed at home to practice after his win at the CJ Cup Byron Nelson.
It was a decision that yielded dividends in the end, as wind and rain battered Philly Cricket.
Scheffler’s decision to skip the Truist Championship was seen as a masterstroke at the time, and so has proven to be the case.
The Texan is motivated solely by achieving greatness, not money, fame or anything else.
And Scheffler’s decisions to skip the Truist Championship, before playing at the Charles Schwab Challenge at Colonial Country Club this week proved just how different he is to every other top golfer in the world.
