Rickie Fowler left it late to secure his best result of 2024 as he finished solo fourth at the ZOZO Championship.

Fowler loved the ZOZO Championship fans, with the American thoroughly enjoying himself at Narashino Country Club.

He finished on 17-under at the ZOZO Championship to secure fourth place, ending his tournament just three shots behind champion Nico Echavarria.

Fowler aims to play the Grant Thornton Invitational in December, as he looks to finish strong in the FedEx Cup Fall standings.

He entered the ZOZO Championship sitting 108th in the standings, but Fowler has since climbed to 92nd place.

But it wasn’t just his FedEx Cup Fall place that was under the spotlight, with the American having also been in real danger of finishing a PGA Tour season without a top-10 finish for the first time in his career.

That was, however, avoided thanks to his fourth place at the ZOZO Championship, with Fowler now on 16 consecutive seasons with a top-10 PGA Tour finish, as per the PGA Tour website.

Can Rickie Fowler push on after frustrating 2024 PGA Tour season?

It has been a stunning career for Fowler so far, having finished runner-up at the Procore Championship in his second start as a professional back in 2009.

The American achieved that finished at the age of just 20, with Fowler now on six PGA Tour titles at the age of 35.

Fowler’s superb finish at the ZOZO Championship was helped by two six-under 64s, coming in the second and fourth rounds.

The display comes amid a frustrating season for the experienced PGA Tour star, who had a season-best finish of T16 before the event in Japan.

He is now on course to secure an all-important top 125 spot in the FedEx Cup rankings, with a much better 2025 on the cards for Fowler.
