PGA Tour stalwart Rickie Fowler is T4 after three days of action at the 2024 ZOZO Championship in Japan.
Fowler has played three FedEx Cup fall events as he looks to improve his position ahead of the 2025 PGA Tour season.
It was an up-and-down third round for the 35-year-old after he made six birdies and two bogeys to finish the day 11 under.
Fowler is currently six shots back of leader Nico Echavarría and five shots adrift of Justin Thomas, who is the Colombian’s nearest challenger.

Speaking after his round during his press duties, Fowler was quick to highlight the support he’s received at Accordia Narashino Country Club this week.
“It’s more than just one thing,” said Fowler. “I really enjoy coming over here to play. The fans are amazing, to me, having a pretty good understanding of the culture and how people are over here.
“Very respectful, love spending time in Narita and Tokyo. The Japanese people really take pride in taking care of their things or other people’s things.”
World number two Xander Schauffele also praised the Japanese fans upon the conclusion of his second round.
Rickie Fowler set for one more PGA Tour event in 2024
After this week’s ZOZO Championship, Fowler will compete in one more event before calling time on his 2024 season.
Fowler’s next outing before preparations begin for the 2025 season will be the Grant Thornton Invitational at the beginning of December.
“This week, next week, play the Grant Thornton. A little fun way to finish off the year,” the American said during last weekend’s Shriners Children’s Open.
Fowler is 93rd in the FedEx Cup standings and is on course to earn eligibility into full-field events and the Players Championship at TPC Sawgrass.
The 35-year-old has shown signs of life in the fall and could well be set for a more positive season when the new year finally rolls around.
