Patrick Cantlay has endured a mixed PGA Tour season alongside his long-term coach Jamie Mulligan.
Cantlay shone at the Presidents Cup, with the eight-time PGA Tour winner helping the US Team beat the International Team.
Jim Furyk praised Cantlay as he played a crucial role in the team tournament last month, with the visitors beating the International Team 18.5-11.5.
On the PGA Tour, however, Cantlay has zero wins and just four top-10 finishes to his name so far this season.
But the American, who has never had another swing coach aside from Mulligan, did suffer just one missed cut from his 19 events.

Patrick Cantlay’s coach shares what their relationship is like
As per The Golfer’s Journal, Mulligan has now shared what their long-time relationship is really like on and off the course.
“We build our deal around humour and we have a good time with it,” he said. “I think a lot of times people think Patrick and I are stoic or Patrick is very serious. I think those who know me all the time know maybe I can come across as stoic but we are having a good time in what we do.

“And we laugh every day while we are out there and our whole team laughs while we are out there. Pat has an amazing sense of humour and I don’t think we have ever lost sight of the fact that if we are at a major championship or if we are just practicing during the day, this is fun and we should have fun doing it. I try to make it as light as possible.”
Can Patrick Cantlay and Jamie Mulligan get back to winning ways on the PGA Tour?
Cantlay will be eager to end his PGA Tour title drought in 2025, particularly given that it is a Ryder Cup year.
The American currently sits 11th in the world rankings, and is very likely to be handed a Team USA call-up for the tournament.
New York’s Bethpage Black plays host to the 2025 Ryder Cup, with Keegan Bradley looking to lead the home side to glory.

Bradley has plenty of big decisions to make between now and next September, with a lot of pressure on the USA captain.
And while eight-time PGA Tour champion Cantlay will have few worries about his standing as the tournament draws nearer, a win or two before then would, of course, still be very welcomed.
