Nelly Korda continues to star on the LPGA Tour, with the world number one currently taking on the Women’s PGA Championship.

Korda entered the Women’s PGA Championship in good form, but approached round four sitting T6 at Fields Ranch East at PGA Frisco.

American star Korda is suffering from a neck injury, as she continues her search for a maiden LPGA Tour win of 2025.

She boasts two major wins from her stunning career so far, first triumphing at the Women’s PGA Championship in 2021.

A Chevron Championship success then arrived in 2024, representing one of seven titles last season for 15-time career winner Korda.

Nelly Korda shares verdict on male player behaviour at the US Open at Oakmont

Her current focus is on the Women’s PGA Championship, which has arrived just after the latest men’s major championship.

Discussing last week’s US Open at Oakmont, which was won by J.J. Spaun, Korda said on Dan’s Golf World Show: “I loved it.

“I think to see the guys struggle like that, even the best players in the world struggle, and to see even the outbursts that some of them had because they were so mentally over it, I think was really fun.

“Obviously being a tournament when it’s a birdie fest is a lot of fun but also seeing a tournament like the US Women’s Open, the US Open, KMPG, the PGA, where guys are struggling to make par is a lot of fun to watch. It makes you appreciate the good golf and the birdie fests!”

Weather impacts Women’s PGA Championship at Fields Ranch East

Korda is spot on with her analysis, both regarding what happened at Oakmont and how much skill it takes to play at such a high level.

The Pennsylvania course played host to one of the most difficult US Open events in history, with Spaun the only player to finish under par.

He won the tournament on one under for his maiden major championship win, with inclement weather producing an even more difficult task at Oakmont.

Lengthy holes and heavy rough were the initial problems for many, with high-profile players Rory McIlroy and Shane Lowry among those to have lost their cool on occasion.

Heavy rain was the issue in Pennsylvania, with severe heat now among the issues for Korda and her fellow LPGA Tour players in Texas.

It is Minjee Lee, sister of PGA Tour ace Min Woo Lee, who led the way heading into Sunday, closely followed by Jeeno Thitikul.

The former boasts a four shot lead over the latter on six-under, with Lee carding the first bogey-free round for any player as heavy wind also plays its part.

Korda meanwhile sits on two-over after rounds of 72, 74 and 72, level with a handful of players and one shot behind fellow American Lexi Thompson.
