Nelly Korda is back in action on the LPGA Tour this week as she headlines the Women’s PGA Championship.
Korda is suffering with a neck injury, but she remains in the field for the latest major championship of the season, a tournament she won in 2021.
She heads into the Women’s PGA Championship ranked number one in the world, but the American has yet to win on the LPGA Tour this season.
It comes after she clinched a stunning seven wins on the LPGA Tour in 2024, the same number Scottie Scheffler achieved on the PGA Tour.
Scheffler just took on the US Open at Oakmont, with Korda now involved in the Women’s PGA Championship at Fields Ranch East at PGA Frisco.

Nelly Korda’s LPGA Tour numbers should worry every other player at the Women’s PGA Championship
And while the 26-year-old has yet to break through in 2025, two of her statistics strongly suggest a win is incoming.
Whether it arrives this week or elsewhere in the near future remains to be seen, but Korda should be very confident of a maiden title this season sooner rather than later.

As per Justin Ray, her approach play figures are better than last season, which is remarkable given the success she achieved.
Her strokes gained approach rank has climbed from 23rd to 11th, with her proximity to hole rank rising from 84th to 46th.
That should worry the Women’s PGA Championship field this week, along with the fact she is ranked second in strokes gained total, behind only Jeeno Thitikul.
Nelly Korda’s 2025 LPGA Tour results as Women’s PGA Championship gets underway
The impressive stats from the world number one don’t end there, with Korda sitting at the very top of the pile for LPGA Tour scoring average.
Her wait for a win therefore is a strange situation, although her ongoing neck injury has very much likely played a part in her failure to get over the line.
