The PGA Tour might be home to some of the world’s best golfers but that doesn’t mean a few of them don’t love to have a party either.
We’ve seen wild celebrations over the years from winning big events and majors, while the Ryder Cup is normally quick to spark a big – often booze fuelled – shindig.
Of course, we know from over the years that a certain John Daly is a big fan of a night out and only this week, Andrew Johnston discussed what happened when he took Daly up on the offer of a night on the town.
But aside from Daly, we don’t hear too much of fellow players who enjoy a few ales or cocktails.
Well, that is until now, with Matt Fitzpatrick’s caddie Billy Foster revealing who his favourite player to share a few beers with is.

Billy Foster names who the best golfer to go for a beer with is
Speaking on the The 19th Uncut podcast of Caddie’s Questions, Foster was asked who the best player on Tour is to go for a beer with.
And going a bit old school, Foster went with his old pal Darren Clarke.
“I’ll go with Darren Clarke. I think after ten years with Clarkey, I’ve swilled a few Guinness with Clarkey and a few Sea Breezes (cocktails),” Foster said.
Foster then went on to tell a hilarious story of a day on the cocktails with Clarke, before nearly missing some connecting flights to get the next tournament.
Darren Clarke one of golf’s good guys
We don’t hear as much from Darren Clarke these days but he’s certainly had a fine career and is often spoken about in glowing terms by many.
As Foster says here, Clarke is good fun to be around and while the nod towards having a few beers is the question, it’s clear that Clarke holds a special place in Foster’s heart.
The duo worked together for a decade or so and enjoyed big success as a duo.
Foster has become a bit of a star himself on that particular podcast and recently revealed his thoughts on who the slowest players on the tour were as well.
Furthermore, Foster has also spoken on Rory McIlroy and Harry Diamond’s partnership, insisting that McIlroy’s caddie gets a tough rap.
