Martin Kaymer says LIV Golf have signed one of ‘the brightest young talents’ in the sport as official announcement made

LIV Golf have added yet another bright talent to the ever-growing ranks as Martin Kaymer’s Cleeks GC have confirmed their newest signing.

As talk of Tony Finau joining LIV Golf has dominated headlines, a lot of the other potential new captures have gone under the radar.

Indeed, with Finau confirming he’ll play the AMEX on the PGA Tour in January, any notion of the American making the LIV move seems hard to buy into right now.

However, that hasn’t stopped a few other teams making moves and Kaymer’s Cleeks have moved to snap up a rising star in the golf world.

Frederik Kjettrup seals LIV Golf deal by signing for Cleeks GC

Confirmed officially by LIV and captain Martin Kaymer himself, the Cleeks have indeed made the move to sign young Danish star, Frederik Kjettrup.

Kjettrup, 24, will now join Kaymer, Adrien Meronk, and the experienced Richard Bland ahead of the 2025 season.

And for captain Kaymer, Kjettrup’s signing is a big deal for the team.

“Frederik is one of the brightest young talents in the game,” said Cleeks GC Captain, Martin Kaymer.

“His impressive track record and fearless approach make him a perfect fit for our team. I’m looking forward to seeing him thrive within the competitive atmosphere of LIV Golf.”

Who is the latest LIV Golf star Frederik Kjettrup?

Hailing from Denmark, Frederik Kjettrup is a 24-year-old golfer who has played the game for Florida State University for all four years of his time in college.

Kjettrup has won a number of events and earned exemption status for the Korn Ferry Tour in 2025 by winning three times on the PGA Tour Americas last year.

As a three-time individual tournament champion, Kjettrup owns the most rounds at 64 or lower (four times) in program history and was a co-medallist at the 2024 ACC Championships.

Kjettrup has also won some big youth events, including the Danish National Match Play Championship twice, while he also won the Watersound Invitational in 2023.

Now, then, the focus will be on if he can translate his form as a younger player to the professional game and LIV’s different way of playing.
