Ludvig Aberg has watched Scottie Scheffler’s domination of the PGA Tour more closely than most.
Aberg only made his professional debut two years ago, so he has only known Scheffler at the top of the leaderboards.
The Swede has won twice on the PGA Tour, most recently the Genesis Invitational in March, but his success does not compare to Scheffler’s.
The world number one has achieved 14 victories in the last two seasons, including two major championships.
However, Aberg is “more impressed” by something other than the American’s world-class golfing ability.

What Ludvig Aberg admires about Scottie Scheffler
While Aberg obviously appreciates Scheffler’s title-winning performances on the golf course, he values another of his attributes more highly.
The 25-year-old recently vocalised his admiration for Scheffler’s ability to block out the noise and stay true to himself.
Winning tournaments comes with a lot of spotlight, but Scheffler does not seem affected by it like many others would be.
“Obviously, his golf speaks for itself,” Aberg explained. “We’ve all seen it. We’ve all watched him win multiple tournaments over and over again, and it seems like he’s doing it with such ease now.
“I feel like he’s really figured out how to find the extra gear when he needs to. All those things are really impressive. I haven’t known him that long, maybe two years, and his rise has been quite substantial.
“He’s always been the same person ever since. I think that’s more impressive because he’s got a lot of reasons to change the way he views things.
“From the outside looking in, it doesn’t seem that way. It seems like he’s very grounded. He cares about the things he cares about and nothing else.
“That’s more impressive than winning 14 events in two years. Staying true to yourself is a big challenge, and it seems like he’s doing a really good job of that.”

Ludvig Aberg’s 2025 PGA Tour season reviewed
Ludvig Aberg has probably been one of the most underwhelming players on the PGA Tour this season.
Aberg climbed to 4th in the Official Golf World Ranking last summer after an excellent few months, including a runner-up finish at The Masters on debut.
Performances like that led to high expectations that he would win multiple tournaments and even a major this year.
Unfortunately, Aberg missed the cut at the PGA Championship, the US Open, and the Players Championship in 2025.
However, he did win a signature event, the Genesis Invitational, and made the European Ryder Cup team, so it was far from a nightmare season.
