Quail Hollow plays host to the second major championship of 2025, which follows The Masters at Augusta.

He soon turns his attention to the PGA Championship at Quail Hollow, a venue where he has clinched four wins throughout his career.

LIV Golf player Tom McKibbin receives PGA Championship invite
And as per Pro Golf Critic, McIlroy won’t be the only Northern Irish player taking on the major championship.
LIV Golf player Tom McKibbin has received an invite for the PGA Championship, which he is set to accept.
It would be a first PGA Championship appearance for the 22-year-old, who currently plays for Legion XIII after joining from the PGA Tour this season.
What has Rory McIlroy said of former PGA Tour player Tom McKibbin?
McIlroy spoke very highly of McKibbin before his move to LIV Golf, saying among other things: “For 20 years old he showed so much composure.
“And, yeah, we’ve all known from back home the potential that he has, but I think to break through and win for the first time at 20 years old is, there’s a bright future ahead of him.”
Plenty of eyes will undoubtedly be on McKibbin at Quail Hollow, not least because of his relationship with McIlroy.
Furthermore, he had earned himself a PGA Tour card for the 2025 season, but opted to join the Saudi-backed tour.
He will also draw attention at Quail Hollow given his start on LIV Golf, where he has helped Legion XIII rise to the top of the team standings.
A teammate of Jon Rahm and Tyrrell Hatton, McKibbin currently sits in 22nd place in the individual standings.
