The Presidents Cup will soon take centre stage, and Keegan Bradley sent a message to captain Jim Furyk after his memorable victory at last weekend’s BMW Championship.
Bradley clinched a one-shot win over Adam Scott, Ludvig Aberg and Sam Burns to catapult himself into the FedEx Cup top 30.
The USA Ryder Cup captain, now at the Tour Championship, is one of the highest-ranked American players outside the six automatic qualifications for Furyk’s side.
Bradley was initially coy about his Presidents Cup chances, but now the 38-year-old has confirmed conversations with Furyk have taken place since his win at Castle Pines.

Speaking to the press at East Lake, Bradley confirmed that he has spoken with Furyk and will hold further talks with the Presidents Cup captain in the coming days.
“Yeah, I’ve spoken to him a little bit. We’re going to chat a little more as the week goes on,” Bradley explained.
“I want to do what’s best for the team. I truly, truly mean that. If what’s best for the team is for me to play, then I want to play. If what’s best is for me to be the vice-captain and there are better pairings, then I’m happy to do that.”
Bradley also admitted that spending time around Furyk could benefit his captaincy at Bethpage Black.
“Jim has been an incredible leader,” Bradley added. “I’ve learned so much from him already. Jim is a guy that, when I first came out on TOUR, he was a guy that I really looked up to.
“To be able to be around him and sort of hear his insight, just a few of the little things that he’s told me, has really, really helped and I think will help my captaincy at Bethpage.”
Jim Furyk must make massive Keegan Bradley Presidents Cup decision
Furyk certainly has a decision to make ahead of next month’s event in Montreal. Bradley, for the most part, has endured a tough 2024. And there’s no doubt Bradley wouldn’t be under consideration if he were still winless.
Golf Channel pundit Ryan Lavner has told Jim Furyk to avoid selecting Bradley due to his form being largely a flash in the pan.
However, Smylie Kaufman wants to see Bradley in the Presidents Cup, and right now, Furyk would be a brave man to leave the 2025 Ryder Cup captain off his team.
Given his current form and prior match-play experience, Bradley could even be a valuable addition to the USA’s Presidents Cup side.
