Ryder Cup captain Keegan Bradley has responded to locker room comments he made after the USA’s Presidents Cup victory in Montreal.

In the final episode of Netflix’s Full Swing, footage of Bradley emerged. It’s fair to say the 38-year-old’s message to Luke Donald‘s European team was evident. “We’re gonna go to Bethpage to kick their f***** a**,” Bradley was heard shouting in the US locker room.

Unsurprisingly, the 38-year-old’s comments have caused a stir amongst the European media. The European press have already taken aim at Bradley’s team after the PGA of America confirmed USA players would be paid for the first time.

Now, Bradley’s outburst in Full Swing will no doubt be used as fuel for Luke Donald’s men heading into September’s event.

Bradley, after shooting 69 (three under) in the first round of the Arnold Palmer Invitational at Bay Hill, was asked to clarify what he said during the final episode of Full Swing‘s latest season.

“Listen, I was; I thought I was in a locker room with my team,” Bradley said.

“You know, that’s what happens in a locker room. I meant no disrespect to the Europeans. This was a time when we had just won the Presidents Cup. I was in the locker room, and it was my turn to address the team. And I meant no disrespect; I was speaking more to our guys.”

The US captain was then asked whether European skipper Donald will use his comments as motivation. “I mean, maybe. I don’t think the Europeans need any more motivation to win the Ryder Cup,” Bradley added.

“They’re a special group of players, and the Ryder Cup means a lot to them. And when the Ryder Cup year, and when the Ryder Cup comes along, they really seem to come together and play their best golf. So I think that they’re motivated enough to beat us.”

Keegan Bradley surprised after Ryder Cup comments aired

To some extent, even those on the European side will have sympathy for Bradley. The Netflix cameras caught him at an emotional moment right after the USA sealed a tenth consecutive Presidents Cup, where Bradley earned the winning point.

The American admitted he was surprised the Netflix cameras were present. “Well, I certainly thought I was in the locker room. But, you know, in the world that we live in I got to be more aware of that there’s always somebody filming,” he added.

“Again, I meant no disrespect, but we were excited. I had just won the Presidents Cup, which I hadn’t played in 10 years. It was an exciting moment for me.”

Bradley is currently playing some of the best golf of his career and, right now, is on course to play his way onto the 2025 roster. The 38-year-old, however, has insisted he won’t pick himself if he misses out.

Last month, Bradley revealed that his USA team will start taking shape after the 2025 US Open finishes at Oakmont.
