Keegan Bradley has the unenviable job of balancing his PGA Tour schedule and planning for the 2025 Ryder Cup at Bethpage Black.
Despite being named captain last year, Bradley still desires to win his second major and has started the 2025 season in decent form.
The 38-year-old finished T15 at The Sentry, sixth at the Sony Open and T15 at the Farmers Insurance Open at Torrey Pines. Bradley has already banked nearly $750,000 in 2025 and sits 32nd in the FedEx Cup standings.
Bradley has admitted he would like to be part of the team, provided he makes the side on merit. The chances of the seven-time Tour winner picking himself are slim.
When will the USA Ryder Cup team take shape?

Bradley is competing at this week’s Genesis Invitational and briefly talked to journalist Dan Rapaport during his practice round at Torrey Pines.
Unsurprisingly, the topic of who is in Bradley’s mind ahead of the Ryder Cup quickly emerged.
“You have the main guys that are up there, the best players in the world. And then you have, you know, ten to twenty guys who could be on the team, and I sort of keep an eye on them, but I think it’s still way too early,” Bradley explained.
The US captain then confirmed his team would start taking shape after the US Open at Oakmont.
“I think once we get past the US Open, the second major, then we can see how the team is going to take shape,” Bradley added.
The six USA players currently heading to Bethpage Black
Scottie Scheffler and Xander Schauffele have pretty much cemented their spots on the team for Bethpage Black. The pair have over 9700 points each and are nearly 3000 clear of LIV Golf star Bryson DeChambeau, who is third.
Collin Morikawa is fourth on 4900 points. Russell Henley and Billy Horschel make up the top six on 2687 and 2709, respectively. Just outside the six automatic spots are Harris English, Brian Harman, Wyndham Clark, Patrick Cantlay and Tony Finau. Justin Thomas is 12th, and Bradley is currently 21st.

American players earned points during the majors and The Players Championship in 2024. A point was awarded for every $1000 earned at each event.
The same number of points will be available at regular PGA Tour events in 2025 until the BMW Championship in mid-August. 2025’s major championships will be worth 1.5 points for every $1000.
