We are just over a month away from the Ryder Cup and for Team USA captain Keegan Bradley, there are some big decisions to be made.

Bradley knows he must make a call on his own role in the team for a start, with him right on the line in terms of being among the top 12 players.

Being a playing captain will be a hard task and Bradley will know that, deep down, he leaves himself open for criticism if he does pick himself and fail.

With that in mind, Bradley might well be tempted to just go with 12 players and run the show himself, given the amount of talent the USA possesses.

Within that 12, there are going to be some wildcard picks.

And after a stunning run of form in recent weeks, Bradley is now being urged to take a serious look at Cameron Young.

Keegan Bradley told why he should pick Cameron Young for the Ryder Cup

After knocking on the door for so long, Cam Young finally got his first PGA Tour win by landing the Wyndham Championship last week.

That win capped off a good season for Young. He’d finished fourth at both the RBC Heritage and US Open in consecutive weeks, bagged a 7th in the Truist, and then this week, he’s followed up his win by finishing 5th at the FedEx St Jude.

Now, ahead of Ryder Cup selection week soon, golf analyst Damon Hack has urged Keegan Bradley to pick the in-form New Yorker.

“I think it’s Cameron Young, coming off the win at the Wyndham and continuing to play great golf. To hear the guys on the broadcast talking about how his putter has come to life, when you have the likes of Brad Faxon and Kevin Kisner talking about how well Cameron is rolling the rock, how can you not take the New Yorker who won as an amateur the Met Open? He shot a course record at the time, a 64 before Brooks Koepka broke it at the PGA Championship.

“He is big, he is strong, he hits the ball a long way. He is playing his best golf right now, which is what you want. I think he is a no brainer. He has got the demeanour, he doesn’t show much, knows the golf course well. I think Cameron Young, even not winning this week, continuing to play well. I think his stock is very high and I think Keegan Bradley will take great notice of that.”

Where Cameron Young currently sits in the Ryder Cup rankings

It’s been a remarkable rise for Cameron Young this season and he is rightfully in the discussion when it comes to the Ryder Cup.

As of now, J.J. Spaun is among those confirmed, while Scottie Scheffler and Xander Schauffele are the other two guaranteed to be at Bethpage.

For Young, he’s going to be relying on a captain’s pick but given he’s jumped up to 14th now in the standings, he is right in the picture.

Yes, there are some big names like Jordan Spieth, Rickie Fowler and Patrick Cantlay who will all be hoping for the nod off Bradley as well.

But right now, few are in better form than Young and if he plays well in the next few weeks as well, then it would be a big surprise to not see him on Team USA.
