Justin Thomas has been enjoying his time on the PGA Tour this season, with the same to be said of his TGL exploits.
Thomas looked forward to having bragging rights over his fellow professionals in the TGL final, with the American achieving that after helping Atlanta Drive GC lift the trophy.
Tiger Woods has congratulated Thomas and his teammates Patrick Cantlay, Billy Horschel and Lucas Glover on the victory.
They overcame New York Golf Club in the best-of-three final, winning 6-5 and 4-3 across two matches at Florida’s SoFi Center.
Cantlay, Horschel and Thomas got the job done for Atlanta Drive, with Xander Schauffele, Rickie Fowler and Cameron Young losing with New York.

And Thomas has now taken to social media to celebrate the success in the inaugural TGL season, writing on Instagram: “CHAMPS!
“What a season TGL was. I think I speak for everybody when I say it exceeded our expectations, and more fun than any of us could’ve imagined.
“TGL has found a way to combine a fun and unique twist on golf, while creating a format that is extremely competitive.
“I’m so appreciative of Mr. Arthur Blank and his staff, our AMAZING team manager Ben, and great teammates Lucas Glover, Patrick Cantlay and Billy Horschel in a group effort to become SoFi Cup champs. Appreciate the support from everyone!”
Patrick Cantlay delighted after winning maiden TGL season with Atlanta Drive
Atlanta Drive certainly impressed in the TGL regular season, where they finished out of a possible six times.
Co-creators Woods and Rory McIlroy both missed out on a playoffs spot, with their Jupiter Links GC and Boston Common Golf sides finishing fifth and sixth respectively.

New York meanwhile finished fourth in the standings, but fell short in their efforts to force a decider in the season finale.
Joining Thomas in sharing his delight at the success, Cantlay wrote on Instagram: “Great to cap off the inaugural Atlanta Drive GC TGL season with the title!
“I had a blast with the guys out there Billy Horschel, Justin Thomas and Lucas Glover. Thank you to all the fans for your support!”
TGL certainly seems to have been a real hit with the players involved, and indeed the many fans who watched at the venue and from home.
Focus now turns back to the PGA Tour, but Woods, McIlroy and the TGL chiefs should now be eager to see how they can improve the tournament for next season.
