Ludvig Aberg and Justin Thomas were among the latest PGA Tour stars to take on TGL, having both impressed at the Genesis Invitational.

Aberg won the Genesis Invitational at Torrey Pines in California for his second PGA Tour title, with Thomas finishing T9.

Both Aberg and Thomas then made a quick switch to TGL in Florida, with both involved in double-headers at the SoFi Center.

TGL could involve LPGA Tour players, but for now it is the men’s stars who are taking on the tournament that involves a mix of virtual and real-life golf.

Aberg picked up two wins with The Bay Golf Club, who are now three for three after wins against Atlanta Drive GC and Boston Common Golf.

Justin Thomas left very impressed by Ludvig Aberg on PGA Tour and TGL

Thomas meanwhile, who represents Atlanta, lost to The Bay after picking up a win over Los Angeles Golf Club.

And the American was left very impressed by the Swede following the latest round of TGL, with Thomas writing on Instagram: “What a wild ride yesterday was for our TGL double header!

“A lot of clutch putts and shots had by the guys for a hard-fought victory in OT and almost snuck away with another one. Turns out Ludvig Aberg is just as good at simulator golf as outside golf…”

Aberg’s teammate on The Bay Min Woo Lee meanwhile commented under the post, saying: “Til next time.”

Ludvig Aberg and Justin Thomas 2025 PGA Tour results

Aberg has helped continue a running theme of Europeans winning on the PGA Tour in 2025, with the likes of Rory McIlroy and Thomas Detry among recent champions.

And that is particularly significant this year, with Team Europe looking to beat Team USA at the 2025 Ryder Cup in September.

Aberg is certain to be joining McIlroy at Bethpage Black, with Thomas also likely to be involved for the home side.

The Swede looks in formidable form at this moment in time, but the American is also showing real signs of a promising season.

Two-time PGA Tour champion Aberg has T5 and T42 finishes in 2025, along with a withdrawal and his recent win.

Thomas meanwhile has posted finishes of T26, 2, T48 and T6 alongside his T9 at Torrey Pines, having won 15 times on the PGA Tour throughout his career.

Ryder Cup captains Luke Donald and Keegan Bradley will undoubtedly be keeping a close eye on the pair in the coming weeks, more so on the PGA Tour than TGL.

Bethpage Black will most certainly look very different to TGL, with the friendly competition set to immediately go out the window when Europe and the USA battle for pride and the iconic Ryder Cup trophy.
