Justin Rose has posted a message on social media after signing up for the Asian Tour’s Hong Kong Open, which is part of the International Series.
Interestingly, the series is dubbed the “pathway to the LIV Golf League”, which allows players to earn themselves a spot on Greg Norman’s breakaway venture.
Rose has always supported the DP World Tour and PGA Tour. However, the 2013 US Open winner posted a very interesting comment on X in response to a story confirming his participation in the International Series.

Responding to a post from Golf Digest Middle East that alluded to the LIV Golf pathway, Rose said, “Let’s hope I play well then!!”
Given Rose’s stance on LIV and consistent support of golf’s traditional tours, this comment is almost certainly made in a sarcastic nature.
The Englishman finished T48 at last weekend’s BMW PGA Championship at Wentworth and is currently 21st in the DP World Tour’s Race to Dubai.
Justin Rose’s LIV Golf thoughts as PGA Tour talks continue
Despite remaining loyal to the PGA and DP World Tour, Rose has admitted that ending the current divide can only benefit the game.
The PGA and PIF are still locked in discussions, and Rory McIlroy has urged the two sides to reach an agreement. Rose echoed the Northern Irishman’s sentiment during a recent interview with Sky Sports.
“Yeah, I think time softens everything for sure, and I think listen, if it’s going to be good for the game of golf, then I’m all about coming back together,” Rose said.
“Just from my point personally, I don’t see it; I haven’t heard any news, I don’t know exactly where we’re going with it, I don’t know what the vehicle is for us all to kind of compromise and come back together, I don’t really know what the product looks like.”
