Jon Rahm is leading the way at LIV Chicago this weekend and looks set to be crowned the individual champion for LIV but that hasn’t stopped him having another moan.

Rahm has spent the build up to the tournament complaining about his DP World Tour fines and insisting he won’t be paying them.

The Spaniard has admitted he’s entered the Spanish Open after DP officials initially insisted Rahm pay his fines before being granted entry.

But over on LIV and in terms of actual golf, Rahm is playing well and shot a six-under round yesterday to put himself ahead of the pack heading into the final round.

Still, Rahm has had another complaint of sorts. This time, about the practice areas in Chicago.

Jon Rahm on why he’s been getting annoyed at LIV Chicago

Speaking to the media after his excellent second round, Rahm was asked about why he’d decided to practice before the round at the back of the range.

And in what seems like typical Rahm fashion lately, the Spaniard admitted it was because he was getting a bit annoyed over the turf on the range.

“Yeah. It’s not the shortest ride to go back there,” Rahm said.

“To be honest, it’s also the turf on the range. It’s a little softer. If you’re trying to get some numbers of any distance control, the second you hit a shot, you need to clean the club face again.

“It just gets a little bit annoying to have to clean it constantly and out of your routine. It’s just a little bit easier to do it from back there.”

Rahm should just focus on golf

It’s not that Rahm shouldn’t have an opinion on these things and offer up honest takes.

But sometimes, it just comes across as if things are never enough for him, which is pretty odd when he’s a multi-millionaire and one of the best golfers in the world.

Right now, as his form on course, is proving, Rahm should simply concentrate on his game and if he does that, he’ll get the win this weekend.

Rahm is one of the best golfers going when he puts it together and if he can cut the moaning out, he might become an even more likeable character.
