The 2025 LIV Golf season ended in Michigan two weeks ago, and the players now have a long wait before the next event.
Reed did not contend for the Individual Championship, and his team, 4Aces GC, finished seventh in the Team Championship.
However, the 35-year-old ended the season strongly with six consecutive top 20s, including a win in Dallas.
Reed would have hoped to take that form into the Irish Open at The K Club this week, but how did it go?

Patrick Reed struggled at the Irish Open
Patrick Reed immediately put himself on the back foot at the Irish Open with a two-over-par 74 in the first round.
He bounced back with a 70 on Friday to advance to the weekend, but he still had too much to do to contend.
The third and fourth rounds at The K Club then became about building confidence ahead of the BMW PGA Championship next week.
Well, Reed failed to improve as he was one over par on Saturday and one under on Sunday to finish at even par.
The LIV golfer finished the tournament in 50th place out of 72 players who made the cut, so he will be bitterly disappointed with his performance.
Considering the field at the Irish Open was much weaker than it will be next week, there is no guarantee that he will do better at Wentworth.

Patrick Reed missed an opportunity to prove Keegan Bradley wrong
We will never know whether Patrick Reed was in Keegan Bradley’s consideration for the Ryder Cup at Bethpage.
But while Reed was never an obvious captain’s pick, some United States fans wanted him on the team. That’s because he has valuable experience playing in the Ryder Cup in 2014, 2016, and 2018.
Reed even beat Rory McIlroy in an epic singles match at the 2016 Ryder Cup, which the USA won 17-11 at Hazeltine Golf Club.
It was too late for the former Masters champion to make the US team for Bethpage, but he could have proved Bradley wrong.
However, Reed’s underwhelming performance at the Irish Open did not prove that Bradley made a poor decision by not selecting him.
