The battle between the PGA Tour and Saudi Arabia’s PIF, which funds LIV Golf, is raging on with no end in sight.
A framework agreement between the PGA Tour, DP World Tour and PIF was signed last summer, in an attempt to form an alliance.
The deadline for the agreement expired at the end of last year, but all parties are still keen on a final agreement.
A PGA-LIV solution may never be reached, with PGA Tour Commissioner Jay Monahan focused solely on his tour.
But steps are being seemingly taken in the right direction, with players potentially even taking matters into their own hands in order to find a solution.

Tiger Woods and Adam Scott to hold talks with PIF over $1bn PGA Tour deal
Rory McIlroy, Scottie Scheffler, Bryson DeChambeau and Brooks Koepka are certain to get a debate going in their made-for-TV contest later this year.
But concrete steps are definitely taking place in New York this week, with ESPN reporting that PGA Tour officials are meeting with PIF representatives to agree on a deal.
The publication reported that PGA Tour players Tiger Woods and Adam Scott will be present, along with PGA Tour Enterprises chairman Joe Gorder and Fenway Sports Group owner John W. Henry.
ESPN added that the meetings are scheduled to last multiple days, with the aim of hammering out terms that would see over $1billion injected from the PIF into PGA Tour Enterprises, the new entity launched by the tour and Strategic Sports Group.
Can Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy help the PGA Tour and LIV agree a deal?
Woods and Scott are seemingly very eager to reach some form of agreement with the PIF, but whether or not the latest talks will be successful remains to be seen.
PGA Tour star McIlroy could have also been involved given his clear stance on LIV Golf, but the world number three is currently back in Northern Ireland for the Irish Open this week.
Those behind the rival tours certainly haven’t seen eye-to-eye in recent times, along with many players across the PGA Tour and LIV.
But all involved should perhaps be hopeful given the latest talks in New York, particularly with stellar names Woods and Scott being involved.
McIlroy wants the top players competing against each other as much as possible, and that certainly won’t happen if no deal can be reached in the near future.
