The YouTube golf scene is booming, and several content creators are playing golf at an extremely high level.

Good Good star Luke Kwon is currently playing on the Asian Tour, and Wesley Bryan is an active PGA Tour member.

Elsewhere, Peter Finch and Rick Shiels tried to qualify for the 2024 Open Championship at Royal Troon but were both unsuccessful.

Clearly, YouTube golf is on the rise, and there’s a standout name that is arguably the platform’s elite golfer.

During the latest edition of the Fore Play Podcast, Brad Dalke’s talents were discussed.

Dalke is currently a member of Good Good Golf and has previously played at the Masters and US Open.

And the guys at Fore Play believe the 27-year-old is arguably the best golfer in the world who isn’t attempting to forge a career on the PGA Tour.

“He’s the best golfer on the planet; he could win a professional tournament tomorrow if he played the way he did yesterday,” said Frankie. Whilst Francis added: “He’s by far the best player I’ve ever played with in a round.”

Dalke is currently a +6 handicap and has previously finished runner-up in the 2016 US Amateur.

Sam, also a member of Fore Play, added: “The fact that there’s anyone on earth who’s better than that is unimaginable. He hits the ball so straight and so far.”

Surprisingly, Dalke has only made a handful of professional appearances: the 2016 Valero Texas Open, where he missed the cut on 14 over and the 2020 Evans Scholars Invitational on the Korn Ferry Tour, where he also failed to make the weekend.

Brad Dalke explains why he isn’t playing on the PGA Tour

The guys at Fore Play were right to ask why Dalke isn’t playing on the PGA Tour, with the American still only in his late 20s.

Francis then shared a conversation he had held with Dalke during dinner whilst in Hawaii.

Francis said: “I meant the question, and I was glad that I asked it. Basically, what is separating you from the PGA Tour? You know, he’s giving strokes back. I said, ‘What’s the difference? Why aren’t you a pro?”

The Fore Play Pod guest continued: “He said if he had it all set up right now where he could just walk onto the Korn Ferry Tour, he would consider that or the PGA Tour, but he doesn’t like the lack of structure and the grind that is working your way up through those local tournaments to get your spot and then grinding on the Korn Ferry Tour.

“His other answer was that when he was playing pro, he was nowhere near as good as he is now. He’s much better now, playing better now than he was a couple of years ago.”

For those interested in Dalke’s talents, taking a look at Good Good Golf’s major series is an excellent place to start.

As for Dalke’s professional career, there’s every chance the American will once again attempt to break onto tour if an easier route emerges. Clearly, his game is up to the required standard.
