YouTube golf star Luke Kwon is in action at this week’s Black Mountain Championship on the Asian Tour.
Kwon and Tae-Wook Koh, aka Taco Golf, are the YouTube influencers in this week’s field as Asian Tour officials look to expand the game to a broader audience.
And Kwon, who won the Creator Classic at East Lake, is off to a fast start after carding a bogey-free first round at the Black Mountain Golf Club.

Starting on the tenth, Kwon made three consecutive pars before making birdie on the par-five 13th. Three more pars followed before a three on the par-four 17th.
Kwon couldn’t take advantage of the par-five finishing hole and made the turn in two under.
The South Korean started his back nine well, making a birdie on the first before picking up shots on the fifth and sixth.
Kwon would then make three more pars to card a five-under 67. The YouTuber sits inside the top ten and just three back of the leader after round one.

Kwon, who has 290,000 YouTube subscribers and was formerly part of Good Good, was relaxed after his opening 18 holes.
“I really wasn’t [nervous]. There were no nerves whatsoever,” said Kwon.
Kwon is also creating content this week but felt comfortable as camera crews followed him during the opening round.
“No, I was fine. I am just kind of used to it now,” Kwon added. Got some of the reactions, some of the shot stuff. It was good.”
Ahead of Friday’s second round, the South Korean said: “Same thing really, some spots in the rough are a bit gnarly, so I’d like to hit more fairways and keep hitting greens.
“Especially if you go long of the greens here, you might as well write down bogey and go onto the next hole.”
