Bryson DeChambeau enjoyed another strong day at the PGA Championship, and now enters Sunday in T8.
DeChambeau took the solo lead at a stage in round three of the PGA Championship, only to fall back late on.
The LIV Golf star carded a two-under 69 on Saturday at Quail Hollow, following his 71 and 68 from Thursday and Friday respectively.
DeChambeau was taking the North Carolina course by storm in round three, only to be quickly outdone by Scottie Scheffler.
The PGA Tour icon heads into the final round of the major sitting top of the leaderboard after a stunning six-under 65.

Golf fans hail ‘real champ’ Bryson DeChambeau at the PGA Championship
But even with a disappointing end to the day for DeChambeau, he showed his true colours by signing a ball, hitting a putt with it and giving it to a young fan.
And golf fans have praised the actions of the American, with one writing on X: “Protect this precious man at all costs!”
A second said: “Nice guy. Wish he was still on the old tour,” with a third saying: “One of the realest players. Becoming my favourite.”
A fourth commented: “Dude’s genuinely trying to grow the game. Hard to hate on him,” with a fifth fan noting: “Bryson gets it. Real champ.”
Other delighted fans said: “New Arnold Palmer,” and “Nobody better on tour to the fans. This is what truly grows the game. Love to see it.”
And further praise arrived for DeChambeau: “Win or not tomorrow, he’s proof that you don’t even have to win the tournament to be a champion.”
Box office Bryson DeChambeau shows true colours at the PGA Championship
Two-time major winner DeChambeau undoubtedly lost a few fans when he left the PGA Tour to join LIV Golf back in 2022.
He did, of course, also gain new followers with the switch, but that move has meant he hasn’t been on TV screens as much as other players in recent times given the calendars and formats of the two tours.
It also means he hasn’t been able to compete against the top players on the PGA Tour, which he is clearly still able to do, as proven this week and at The Masters.
DeChambeau also won the US Open last year, where his wild celebrations were adored by those who took in the action live at Pinehurst.
He truly is a box office player, but is also clearly a great human being who is well aware of his duties as a professional golfer.
Such duties involve being a role model for the next generation and indeed helping grow the game of golf, which he is doing in a somewhat tricky time for the sport.
