The PNC Championship is in the bag for another year after a ding-dong battle between Team Woods and Team Langer and LIV Golf star Bubba Watson was loving what he was viewing.
German legend Bernhard Langer made the deciding putt on the playoff hole as he and his son Justin saw off Tiger Woods and Charlie Woods in dramatic fashion.
The round was a back and forth of golfing excellence, topped off by Charlie making a hole-in-one, something Tiger said was one of his happiest moments in tournament history.
Of course, with the actual PGA Tour season wrapped up and LIV in its off-season, there’s not a whole load of golf for people to tune into.
Thankfully, the PNC has done the business and one interested onlooker was two-time Masters winner, Bubba Watson.

With golf often getting criticised for not engaging fans enough and getting enough people invested, it was nice to see the PNC deliver.
Indeed, Fred Couples only spoke this weekend of how the modern golfer needs to do more to get fans involved.
However, the PNC – with Woods and Charlie leading the charge – has succeeded this weekend and Bubba Watson has taken to X to show his delight at what he was watching.

For us golf fans, watching Tiger Woods struggle through 2024 and try to make it through the majors was tough watching.
Woods was clearly struggling and his injuries are having a major impact on how he performs.
However, a day like today could well go a long way to providing the mental stimulation Tiger needs, as well as reigniting that fire in his belly to win.
Seeing Charlie make an ace was massive for Woods, but his own performance will have pleased him as well, given he’s not played since further back surgery.
Yet again, golf fans are left with hope ahead of another season when it comes to Tiger Woods.
