Few have moved the needle in the YouTube world more than Bryson DeChambeau over the past 12 months.
The LIV Golf star has undoubtedly been the trailblazer on the platform after releasing high-quality content with some of the world’s most famous people. In 2024, DeChambeau attempted to ‘Break 50’ with Donald Trump, made a hole-in-one over his house and won the US Open; it was some year for the 31-year-old.
1.7 million subscribers later, DeChambeau is now one of YouTube golf’s biggest names and is rapidly closing in on Rick Shiels’ 2.9 million subscriber count.
Given the quickfire growth of DeChambeau’s channel, many would assume he’s making a substantial income from his videos. However, that is not the case.
Bryson DeChambeau details how much his YouTube channel has cost

Speaking on The Joe Pomp Show, DeChambeau revealed that he’s invested around $1 million into his channel and that he’s still not making any money from the content produced.
“I have spent, well not spent, I have invested over £1 million into this. Creating a company, being able to distribute the ad revenue,” DeChambeau said.
“It’s what I want to do. It’s what I care about. Am I making money off of it right now? No, I’m not. That’s the cool part, though. I hope people can see I am doing it because there is a genuine interest in growing the game of golf. I just genuinely care about growing the game.”
A major reason DeChambeau might be left empty-handed is his current staff expenses. In the same video, the American revealed that nearly ten people work full-time behind the scenes on his channel.
Bryson DeChambeau’s YouTube revenue
DeChambeau’s most viewed video was his collaboration with Trump at the President’s Bedminster resort. 13 million people watched the ‘Break 50’ attempt, and all proceeds were donated to charity.
But, aside from the fundraiser alongside the President, how much does DeChambeau actually make?
According to YouTube Ad revenue calculator, The Leap, the LIV star is making around $5,000 in ad revenue per video. It’s important to remember this figure is an average of all his 174 total videos. Over the past year, that average figure would be significantly higher.
Elsewhere, DeChambeau is estimated to earn around $8,000 in sponsorship or brand deals per video. Again, this average figure over the past year would be greater given his recent boom.
If DeChambeau continues to produce the right content with some of the biggest names in the world, his YouTube venture could become highly profitable.
