Bryson DeChambeau recently played a round of golf with former president of the United States Donald Trump.

The pair played a two-man scramble as part of DeChambeau’s ‘Break 50’ series on his YouTube channel.

The video has been viewed over four million times and has over 200,000 likes in just 24 hours.

It will go down as a game-changer in the golf content creation space but it will also make a huge impact in another area, The Golfing Gazette explains.

Bryson DeChambeau raises money for charity

Bryson DeChambeau, who Trump named the best player in the world, pledged to donate $10,000 for every birdie and $20,000 for every eagle they made in the video.

They aimed to score lower than 50 from the red tees on the par-72 course at Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster, New Jersey.

A par on the 121-yard sixth hole ultimately prevented them from doing so, as they shot a 22-under round of 50.

The video is extremely entertaining and Trump, who claims to have a handicap of 2.5, proved plenty of doubters wrong with his impressive golfing ability – particularly for a 78-year-old.

But the best thing to come from their round is undoubtedly the money raised for the Wounded Warrior Project, who provide support for wounded veterans and their families.

12 birdies and five eagles meant that an astonishing $220,000 would go to the charity, while DeChambeau also provided a link to a fundraiser.

Over $21,000 has been donated so far, meaning that more than $241,000 has been raised for the Wounded Warrior Project as of Wednesday, July 24.
