Bryson DeChambeau is never shy when it comes to social media, and the two-time major winner has now sent a message to the PGA Tour.

DeChambeau broke the internet after filming a video with Donald Trump as his popularity continues to boom after his US Open victory at Pinehurst No.2. The big-hitting LIV star has hinted at another political figure potentially featuring on his YouTube channel.

The 30-year-old is taking a week off after failing to make the USA Olympic team, and DeChambeau has now sent a message to the PGA Tour after a brand new event was announced.

The PGA Tour announced on Monday that the inaugural ‘Creator Classic’ will be held at East Lake Golf Club before the Tour Championship.

The nine-hole stroke play event will see YouTube’s finest take on East Lake’s brand-new back nine, meaning the social media stars will be the first to experience it. The tournament will consist of eight holes of gross stroke play before a playoff takes place between the top four finishers.

And now YouTube sensation DeChambeau wants a piece of the action.

Taking to X on Tuesday, July 30, the LIV Golf star wrote: “I am waiting for my invite to the Creator Classic @PGATOUR.”

YouTube golf is on the rise after Myrtle Beach Classic qualifier

The Creator Classic isn’t the first time the PGA Tour has looked to promote YouTube golf.

The Q at Myrtle Beach saw a 16-player, 18-hole qualifier, which included stars such as Grant Horvat, Peter Finch, and George Bryan IV.

Eventual victor Matt Atkins secured a spot in the Myrtle Beach Classic, which took place at the beginning of May.

Of course, some will oppose the idea of offering up a chance to play on the PGA Tour. But for the game to grow, pushing the limits on YouTube is an absolute must.

There’s almost a never-ending viewership on the platform which can be tapped into, and it appears the PGA Tour are now actively looking to incorporate more opportunities for YouTube personalities in the future.
