Bryson DeChambeau can finally call himself a winner again as he got over the line at LIV Korea in a tense final round to win his first event since Greenbrier in 2023.
Despite being the poster boy of the LIV Golf circuit, DeChambeau has found wins hard to come by.
Indeed, despite leading going into today’s final round, DeChambeau stuttered at times and allowed Crushers teammate Charles Howell III to reel him in and move within a shot.
However, the US Open winner held on and holed a stunning putt on 17 to put breathing space between him and Howell III to finally win by two.
And speaking immediately after getting the win, DeChambeau had some kind words for Howell III and his Crushers teammates.

DeChambeau was immediately onto media duties after holing the winning putt and was put on the spot about just what the win meant to him.
However, he was quick to praise Howell III as he got a bit emotional at the win.
“Hats off to the Crushers first of all. We played great today. Sunday Crushers is back, I am proud of them. I am so proud of Chucky, the way he fought today. Showing that type of grit. Oh my gosh, that’s why I have him on the team. That’s why I love every one of them,” DeChambeau commented.
“Charles, Paul, Barn – it tears me up. It is fun being able to battle with your buddies but I want to kick his a— so bad! It was fun though. We had a great time today. But it was intense, super intense.
“Since the US Open, since Nashville. I feel like I have been playing great golf but not getting the job done. There was a lot of tension and I am glad I was able to step up to the plate and get it done.
“Again, hats off to Chucky. He is an unbelievable golfer and he played a hell of a round today.”
Bryson DeChambeau gets timely boost ahead of the PGA Championship
It was becoming a bit of a problem for Bryson DeChambeau in terms of getting wins over the line.
Had he blown it here, it would have been four events in a row he’d been in contention to win and not got it done.
Now, though, the pressure will be off and heading towards the PGA Championship in a few weeks, DeChambeau will feel good about his game.
With Scottie Scheffler returning to form at the Byron Nelson and Rory McIlroy playing so well, we could well be set for some major fireworks at Quail Hollow.
