Bryson DeChambeau was among the players to have struggled at the US Open, with the LIV Golf star missing the cut at Oakmont.

DeChambeau didn’t speak to the media after his missed cut at the US Open, which brought an end to his strong major championship season.

The American, who won nine times on the PGA Tour before moving to LIV Golf, posted top five finishes at The Masters and the PGA Championship earlier this season.

DeChambeau finished T5 at Augusta National and T2 at Quail Hollow, but finished on 10-over at Oakmont to miss out on the weekend.

Shane Lowry made no apologies for his behaviour on the course after also missing the cut in Pennsylvania, with DeChambeau now sharing his own social media message.

Bryson DeChambeau shares update after missing the cut at the US Open

After rounds of 73 and 77 at Oakmont, the LIV Golf man wrote on Instagram: “Golf is hard. Oakmont is even harder.

“Even though this stings now and I didn’t put together the performance I was hoping for, it’s just another bump in the road.

“I appreciate all the support from everyone. Good luck to the rest of the field this week! See you guys in Dallas in a couple of weeks.”

DeChambeau wasn’t the only player issuing an update to his fans after missing the cut, with Justin Rose doing the same.

After finishing on 14-over, the Englishman wrote on Instagram: “Been a tough couple of months out on the links… but that’s golf!!

“It will be a really interesting watch the US Open over the weekend. Thank you as always for the support [Team Rose].”

And after ending on nine-over, his compatriot Tommy Fleetwood also took to Instagram after his early exit.

He said: “Golf is hard. Oakmont is hard… but I still would’ve loved a weekend round there. Good luck to everyone at the US Open.”

After the major championship action wraps up at Oakmont on Sunday, the PGA Tour quickly moves on to the Travelers Championship.

The event at TPC River Highlands is then followed by another before June ends, with Detroit Golf Club hosting the Rocket Classic.

LIV Golf Dallas also takes place at the end of June, with DeChambeau and his fellow tour players heading to Maridoe Golf Club.

The US Open defending champion will be out to clinch his second title of the 2025 season, having emerged victorious at LIV Golf Korea.

Rose meanwhile is still awaiting his first win of the current PGA Tour season, with Fleetwood yet to clinch a single title during his entire career.
