Many amateur golfers will be doing their utmost to emulate even one percent of Scottie Scheffler’s skill at this moment in time, having just watched his PGA Championship masterclass.
Scheffler has been backed for the career grand slam after winning the PGA Championship for the first time, which represents his third major win overall.
The world number one has also won The Masters on two occasions, with the US Open and The Open Championship now needed to complete the set.
Rory McIlroy became the latest player to achieve the career grand slam, having finally won The Masters last month.
McIlroy already has three PGA Tour wins to his name this season, but the Northern Irishman has also been taking on the DP World Tour.

As per the DP World Tour on X, the 10-time tour winner explained: “I think the most common fault is alignment.
“Sounds so simple, but it’s something we practice every day and something that I see goes wrong, almost with every amateur.
“If you don’t align right, you have to compensate in your swing, and then you’re making mistake with mistake, you’re trying to compensate. So, try work on the alignment and then work from there.”
Who is 10-time tour winner Joost Luiten?
With a 400th appearance now set to go his way, Luiten is a hugely experienced golfer, having turned professional back in 2006.
The 39-year-old is currently ranked 196th in the Official World Golf Ranking, and has six wins on the European Tour.
