Rory McIlroy is preparing for his first tournament since winning The Masters, with the green jacket holder taking on the Zurich Classic of New Orleans.
Fresh from his victory at Augusta National, McIlroy will team up with close friend Shane Lowry in the latest PGA Tour event.
McIlroy and Lowry are the Zurich Classic defending champions, with the former already chasing a fourth PGA Tour win of 2025 this week.
Lowry loved watching McIlroy win The Masters and complete the career grand slam, with the Irishman having finished T42 earlier this month.
The 2019 Open champion suffered a nightmare final round to slip down the leaderboard, with McIlroy edging out Justin Rose in a playoff.
Rory McIlroy set to play in DP World India Championship
Their attention now turns to Louisiana for the Zurich Classic, but McIlroy is expected to soon be confirmed for a new tournament taking place later this year.
As per journalist Joy Chakravarty, the Northern Irishman is set to participate in the inaugural DP World India Championship.
The competition will be played at the Delhi Golf Club in mid-October, with its $4million prize fund making it the richest golf tournament to ever take place in India.

McIlroy has, of course, shone on the DP World Tour during his career alongside his superb efforts on the PGA Tour.
He boasts 19 wins on the former and 29 on the latter, having also enjoyed success at the likes of the Ryder Cup.

And despite making just two appearances on the DP World Tour in 2025 so far, McIlroy sits top of the Race to Dubai rankings.
He finished top of the pile with 12 such appearances last time out, with his upcoming appearance in India certain to provide the DP World Tour with a huge boost.
