It’s time for some team competition! The Golfing Gazette has everything you need to know about the 2025 Zurich Classic of New Orleans.

After The Masters and RBC Heritage in recent weeks, the next stop on the PGA Tour is more light-hearted, as the world’s best players pair up.

Irish duo Rory McIlroy and Shane Lowry will defend their title in a combination of two popular formats seen at the Ryder Cup and Presidents Cup: fourballs and foursomes.

Here is all the important information about the RBC Heritage, from how to watch to prize money.

What is the Zurich Classic prize money?

The prize money at the Zurich Classic is $9.2 million in total. In normal PGA Tour events, around 18% goes to the winner and 11% to the runner-up.

At this tournament, the winning pair will each take home half of the combined purse for the first and second place prizes: $1.33m.

Zurich Classic picks

The Golfing Gazette experts have predicted the winning team at the Zurich Classic this week:

Peter Lynch: McIlroy and Lowry should be quietly confident of triumphing this week, not only because of their win last time out but also thanks to their current form. But I think an Aaron Rai and Sahith Theegala success is on the cards, with the European-American pairing to put their nationalities aside in what is a Ryder Cup year to come out on top.

Jordan Harris: Both Max Greyserman and Nico Echavarria are in the top 40 for birdies on the PGA Tour this year, while the latter was on for a great finish at The Masters recently until a nightmare final day at Augusta. They could be a surprise package together this week.

James Shearman: McIlroy and Lowry are the obvious pick to win the Zurich Classic, but I’m going for Billy Horschel and Tom Hoge. Hoge is in fine form, finishing in the top 20 at the RBC Heritage and The Masters, and Horschel proved at TGL that he loves team competitions.
