Scottie Scheffler continued his outstanding career at The Open Championship last week, with the PGA Tour star lifting the Claret Jug.
Scheffler has won $20.6 million in major championships since 2022, with four such wins to his name at the age of 29.
He’s added The Open to his stunning honours list, having previously won the PGA Championship and The Masters twice.
Scheffler has now taken his PGA Tour wins tally to 17, and is just a US Open title away from completing the career grand slam.
He dominated at Royal Portrush, with the rest of the field having been simply blown away by the world number one.

The three players who have made more money on the PGA Tour than Scottie Scheffler
But the American does still trail three players in the PGA Tour all-time money list despite his remarkable dominance of late.
His total prize money has increased to $90,996,470 following his latest win, but he has remained fourth on that particular leaderboard.
Phil Mickelson occupies third place with a total of $96,727,968, with Rory McIlroy in second on $107,145,766.
And very top of the pile is arguably the greatest golfer of all-time, with Tiger Woods in first place on $120,999,166.
| Rank | Player | Money | Wins |
| 1 | Tiger Woods | $120,999,166 | 82 |
| 2 | Rory McIlroy | $107,145,766 | 29 |
| 3 | Phil Mickelson | $96,727,968 | 45 |
| 4 | Scottie Scheffler | $90,996,470 | 17 |
Can Scottie Scheffler overtake Tiger Woods on the PGA Tour all-time money list?
Scheffler isn’t motivated by the career grand slam, and so it is highly unlikely that he’s motivated by money.
But he is now rapidly closing in on Mickelson’s spot in the all-time PGA Tour money list, and is set to overtake his compatriot very soon.

| Year | Tournament | 54 holes | Margin | Runner(s)-up |
| 2022 | The Masters | 3 shot lead | 3 strokes | Rory McIlroy |
| 2024 | The Masters | 1 shot lead | 4 strokes | Ludvig Aberg |
| 2025 | PGA Championship | 3 shot lead | 5 strokes | Bryson DeChambeau, Harris English, Davis Riley |
| 2025 | The Open | 4 shot lead | 4 strokes | Harris English |
Scheffler’s current trajectory, along with the fact that Mickelson has moved to LIV Golf, means there is an inevitable surpassing on the cards.
A more difficult task will be overtaking his current rival McIlroy, who is also capable of really extending his tally in the coming years.
But both could overtake Woods at the very top, again due to their likely future success and the legend’s lack of action on the PGA Tour.
A 15-time major winner, Woods has yet to play this season amid his constant injury struggles, and it remains to be seen when or maybe even if he can make a recovery.
