The Showdown has now been and gone, with Rory McIlroy and Scottie Scheffler beating Bryson DeChambeau and Brooks Koepka.
Golf fans had mixed reactions to The Showdown, which saw PGA Tour duo McIlroy and Scheffler take on LIV Golf pair DeChambeau and Koepka.
DeChambeau and Koepka want Showdown revenge, but it remains to be seen what the organisers will do next with the exhibition event.
They will undoubtedly evaluate the success of The Showdown and what fans made of the tournament from start to finish.
And one major change could involve those taking part, although another LIV Golf v PGA Tour showcase certainly makes sense.

Xander Schauffele and Justin Thomas v Joh Rahm and Tyrrell Hatton in next Showdown?
It will be tricky to find four better-suited players to such a competition, with McIlroy, Scheffler, DeChambeau and Koepka all multiple major winners.
But if it was to be all change for a 2025 Showdown, fans would perhaps want to see LIV Golf champion Jon Rahm leading the way for his side, and PGA Tour star Xander Schauffele leading his.

Having teamed up with Rahm for Legion XIII this season, Tyrrell Hatton could join the Spaniard at The Showdown, with the Englishman certain to bring the entertainment factor.
Schauffele meanwhile would likely love to have Scheffler by his side, but the former could also thrive alongside Justin Thomas.

The Showdown would be smart to keep Bryson DeChambeau involved
Perhaps certain names could be kept for future editions, with LIV Golf’s DeChambeau the most suitable candidate to retain his place given his profile.
The American won the US Open earlier this year, but has taken his status to a whole new level through social media.
DeChambeau hit a hole in one over his house in one of his various exciting stunts, while he has welcomed the likes of Donald Trump and Tom Brady onto his break 50 series on YouTube.
Perhaps such high-profile names could also be introduced into The Showdown, having been done previously in The Match, although that is certain to divide the opinion of golf fans.
Back to golf, and LIV Golf stars Sergio Garcia and Cameron Smith would also help produce a successful event.
Keegan Bradley and Luke Donald meanwhile would undoubtedly be an intriguing PGA Tour pairing given their 2025 Ryder Cup captain duties.
Their fellow icons Phil Mickelson and Tiger Woods would also make good viewing, in what would likely be a more intense version of The Match given the current tussle between the PGA Tour and LIV Golf.
