Bryson DeChambeau and Brooks Koepka have discussed the idea of another Showdown after losing out to Scottie Scheffler and Rory McIlroy.

DeChambeau fired a dig at McIlroy ahead of The Showdown, with the pair having been involved in a tense US Open battle earlier this year.

The former was certainly in high spirits before the clash at Shadow Creek, with DeChambeau joking with Scheffler before the event.

But the smile was quickly wiped off his face in Las Vegas, where PGA Tour stars Scheffler and McIlroy beat LIV Golf duo DeChambeau and Koepka.

The latter pairing failed to win a single session throughout the exhibition match, which was split into three sections.

Would Bryson DeChambeau and Brooks Koepka play in another Showdown?

And perhaps unsurprisingly, both DeChambeau and Koepka are now already eager for revenge against Scheffler and McIlroy.

“It was great,” DeChambeau said on the course. “I would love to have another opportunity. I felt like it was a bit of a pillow fight for us.

“We just threw a couple of pillows your way and didn’t really give them much to go for but I would love to do more of these in the future. I think it’s great for the game.”

Koepka added: “It’s good for the fans. Unfortunately we didn’t play that good but they played really solid. So kudos to them, they played well and deserved that but hopefully we get to run that back soon.”

Was The Showdown between the PGA Tour and LIV Golf stars a success?

Given the nature of the competition, it is highly unlikely that all four multiple major champions really went all-out on the course.

The quartet had busy seasons across the PGA Tour and LIV Golf, with prize money and bragging rights all that was really at stake on Tuesday.

A $10million purse was paid out at The Showdown, but it remains to be seen what Scheffler and McIlroy will do with their crypto winnings.

And having been split between the PGA Tour and LIV Golf, golf fans have also seemingly been split down the middle about the success of the event.

Plenty of LIV and PGA followers will have enjoyed seeing the biggest stars go head-to-head, but others were unimpressed by the lack of entertainment and drama on show.
