Brooks Koepka will no longer play on the LIV Golf tour after confirming he won’t be part of the product going forward and that has only fuelled talk of a return to the PGA Tour.
Koepka was one of the biggest names to make the leap to LIV.
However, Koepka has now decided the time is right to move away from the Saudi-backed tour and ponder his options for the future.
Is this the end of LIV Golf?
The most immediate option seems to be contending on the DP World Tour, while it remains to be seen if the PGA Tour will offer any sort of special route for him to return to them.
Still, an eventual return to America seems inevitable and looking back at what Fred Couples said about Koepka back in 2024, that return might be sooner, rather than later.
What Brooks Koepka told Fred Couples about a PGA Tour return
Brooks Koepka has always had a bit of mystery about him and he’s also never been shy of speaking openly.
In the last 12 months alone, he hinted at not being overly happy with the LIV Golf product and that ha always fuelled talk of a return to the PGA.

Indeed, adding more fuel to that fire, former Masters winner Fred Couples dropped a comment earlier in 2025 that pretty much confirmed Koepka’s wishes.
“I talk to Brooks Koepka all the time…he wants to come back,” the 1992 Masters champion said. “I will say that I believe he really wants to come back and play the Tour.”
Why Fred Couples said he couldn’t stand LIV Golf
Fred Couples is very much a PGA Tour stalwart and it was always going to take something special to turn his attention away.
When it comes to LIV Golf, it seems it’s simply not something that tickles Couples’ fancy.
Speaking in the same interview where he mentioned Koepka, Couples conceded he’d tried to watch LIV and found it really bad viewing.
How far did you get in this golf quiz?
“I turned it on three times. It was so bad. I couldn’t even watch anyone that I liked,” he admitted.
Clearly, then, Couples would love to see Koepka return and it does seem that, eventually, we will see Brooks again.
