It looked like Jordan Spieth would break many records after he won his first major championship at Augusta National in 2015.

He followed that up with a US Open victory two months later and then won the Open Championship in 2017.

However, ever since then, Spieth has regressed as a golfer and despite the odd glimpse of brilliance here and there, he still seems to be a long way off rediscovering his very best form.

Do you believe Jordan Spieth can get back to his best?

How many times will he win on the PGA Tour this season?

Jordan Spieth is now without a win since he triumphed at the RBC Heritage back in April 2022.

Spieth has driven the ball poorly this season, and that is actually the main thing that has held him back.

However, the main problem is that Spieth doesn’t stop telling everyone just how close he is to showing his best form.

He is creating a big and totally unnecessary issue for himself.

Less talk and more action required from Jordan Spieth

Spieth’s best finish in 11 events on the PGA Tour in 2026 is a tie for 11th.

However, Spieth keeps insisting that he is incredibly close to returning to the winners’ circle.

It’s so frustrating to hear him say that every week and then watch him flatter to deceive.

All he is doing by telling everyone how good his swing feels and how good his game is in general, is piling the pressure on his shoulders.

The man from Dallas, Texas, just needs to keep working hard on his game and only worry about what he can control.

His putting has improved this season, and he currently ranks 29th in strokes gained on the greens.

However, as mentioned earlier, his poor driving is proving to be extremely costly, and he is currently sitting in 95th place in the strokes gained off the tee category.

Jordan Spieth’s best days are behind him

If Spieth was really so close to rediscovering his best form, surely his driving stats on the PGA Tour in 2026 would not be so poor?

What do you expect from Jordan Spieth in 2026?

Will he win on the PGA Tour this season?

It may well be time for Jordan Spieth fans to accept that his best days are behind him.

That obviously sounds harsh but it’s worth remembering that so many elite players have overtaken Spieth now.

The likes of Scottie Scheffler, Rory McIlroy and Cam Young have all reached another level, while the three-time major champion from Dallas has been left behind.

Spieth may well win on the PGA Tour again. In fact, it would be a big surprise if he didn’t.

However, his days of dominating the PGA Tour are long gone.

He needs to knuckle down and focus on producing results, rather than telling anyone who will listen how excited he feels about his game right now.
