Jordan Spieth’s painful and drawn-out pursuit of rediscovering his very best form has continued on into 2026.

Spieth continues to struggle on the PGA Tour and is without a victory since April 2022.

Jordan Spieth has been suffering with a case of paralysis by analysis over the past few years.

The 32-year-old from Dallas, Texas, has been overthinking things rather than just simplifying matters and attempting to replicate the swing that earned him so much success from 2015 to 2017.

Do you believe Jordan Spieth can get back to his best?

How many times will he win on the PGA Tour this season?

Spieth recently insisted that he is very happy with his swing and that it will only be a matter of time before he wins again.

However, the longer his wait for a victory goes on, the more doubt will creep into his mind about his ability to return to the winners’ circle.

After three months of the 2026 PGA Toor season, it is very clear as to what part of Spieth’s game needs to improve.

Jordan Spieth’s strength has become a major weakness in 2026

Spieth’s main strength over the past few years may well surprise a few people.

The three-time major champion is often thought of as a poor driver of the golf ball, with many believing his erratic game off the tee is the main source of his issues.

Interestingly though, his driving has actually been his main strength over the past few years.

Over the past four seasons on the PGA Tour, Spieth has ranked 33rd, 15th, 59th and 38th in strokes gained off the tee.

However, this season, he is ranked 110th in strokes gained off the tee, and that will obviously have to change moving forward, if he is to return to the PGA Tour winners’ circle.

It’s so typical of Spieth that he finally finds a way to improve his putting and then one of the strongest parts of his game lets him down at the same time.

Perhaps a more simple approach to his swing will be the way forward for him. Why try something new when he had the blueprint to success a decade ago?

Jordan Spieth’s putting has improved beyond all recognition in 2026

He has actually putted really well in 2026, and is ranked 26th in strokes gained on the greens so far this season.

During the previous six seasons, Spieth has ranked 65th, 101st, 79th, 155th, 33rd, and 105th in strokes gained putting.

What do you expect from Jordan Spieth in 2026?

Will he win on the PGA Tour this season?

So his improvement on the greens this year has been obvious for all to see.

Sadly, though, Spieth’s improved putting will mean nothing if he does not find a way to drive the ball better.

Unfortunately, it could be another long season for the 32-year-old.

Hopefully he finds a way of addressing his issues off the tee because he will not be able to win if he continues to drive the ball like he has been this year.
