Jordan Spieth showed some really positive signs at Bay Hill last week as he finished in a tie for 11th at the Arnold Palmer Invitational.
Spieth has been in the golfing wilderness for far too long now, having not won on the PGA Tour since April 2022.
However, his performance at the Arnold Palmer Invitational provided real cause for optimism, after he posted rounds of 72, 71, 68 and 71 at Bay Hill.
Do you believe Jordan Spieth can get back to his best?
How many times will he win on the PGA Tour this season?
Spieth was proud of how he managed to score at Bay Hill despite a few troublesome situations throughout the week.
The man from Dallas, Texas, performed very well in almost every key statistical category during the Arnold Palmer Invitational.
But how does he really feel about his game heading into The Players Championship this week and The Masters next month?
Jordan Spieth’s verdict on his golf game after T-11 at Bay Hill
The three-time major champion spoke to reporters after an extremely solid performance at Arnie’s Place in Orlando.
Spieth responded when asked how close he is to playing his best golf again.
“I think my consistency is going to continue to be really good and then, you know, having my best be better and better, you know, hopefully it’s a matter of months and not longer, maybe weeks,“ Spieth said.

“But I definitely am very close, as you mentioned, but some of the positioning stuff just transferring from the range onto the course is still lagging slightly.
“It’s a really good test this week and next week. It’s just a very stressful golf course, one that you have to trust what you’re doing.
“And so every solid shot, every solid round, every committed swing moves me a little bit closer.
“So hopefully, I hope it’s very soon, but play the long game, continue to try to get one per cent better every day.“
Spieth is clearly working extremely hard on his game right now and it surely won’t be too long before he gets his rewards.

Spieth’s main problem over the past few years has been his putting.
What do you expect from Jordan Spieth in 2026?
Will he win on the PGA Tour this season?
He was ranked 65th in strokes gained on the greens in 2025 and was way down in 101st in 2024.
This week at Bay Hill, the 32-year-old ranked 16th in strokes gained putting, and he will surely be delighted with that.
Here are all of his key stats from the week at the Arnold Palmer Invitational…

Spieth will be looking for gradual improvements between now and the end of the 2026 season and if he manages to do that, he will surely return to the winners’ circle sooner rather than later.
