It’s incredible to think that it was 11 years ago now when Jordan Spieth won his first major championship after his thrilling performance at The Masters.

Spieth won The Masters in fine style in 2015, beating runners-up Phil Mickelson and Justin Rose by four strokes.

There was a time when Augusta National was Spieth’s playground.

From 2014 to 2018, the 13-time PGA Tour winner recorded four top-3 finishes at The Masters, and he would have won a second green jacket in 2016 had it not been for an unfathomable back-nine collapse.

Spieth is very happy with his game with The Masters just weeks away now, and he’s certainly a lot more confident than he has been in previous years.

There is definitely something different about the American this season. Spieth is quietly going under the radar ahead of The Masters, and his experience around Augusta National undoubtedly makes him a threat.

And now there is genuine reason for optimism for fans of Jordan Spieth ahead of The Masters next month.

The 32-year-old is without a major championship since his Open Championship triumph at Royal Birkdale in 2017.

However, there is one reason why he could be set to end that nine-year wait for a major title next month at Augusta National.

Spieth has gained strokes on the greens so far during the 2026 season, and he is ranked 17th in putting on the PGA Tour.

That is a huge jump for the 32-year-old, who has struggled desperately with his putter for seven years now.

Over the past seven seasons, Spieth’s highest rank in strokes gained putting was 33rd in the 2020/2021 season.

Aside from that, he has finished outside the top 100 in strokes gained putting three times and outside the top 60 twice.

The man from Dallas, Texas, seems to be a changed man on the greens this season.

Spieth looks much more confident when standing over his putts and his process has definitely become a lot quicker from the moment he reads the green to when he pulls the trigger.

The three-time major champion seems to be a lot more assertive with his putting this season and the rhythm of his stroke looks to be back to its smoothest.

What do you expect from Jordan Spieth in 2026?

Will he win on the PGA Tour this season?

While Spieth is still yet to rediscover his very best form, there have been hugely positive signs with The Masters just around the corner.

We all know how much the 32-year-old from Dallas loves playing Augusta National and how well-suited his game is to the golf course.

However, if you are to have any chance of winning The Masters, you need to putt well during the week, and Spieth simply hasn’t done that over the past few years.

Could we see the 13-time PGA Tour winner return to his best at Augusta National next month? He’s certainly trending in the right direction.
