The TGL showed its full worth on Monday evening as Tiger Woods’ Jupiter Links GC beat Boston Common Golf in overtime.
Kevin Kisner, who struggled during Jupiter’s opening fixture, struck the decisive blow after the 40-year-old beat Adam Scott in a chip-off. Golf fans praised the latest TGL fixture, and those at the top of the tech-infused venture will now be optimistic moving forward.
The likes of Tom Kim brought the entertainment factor, and it’s clear those competing understand a level of engagement is required to ensure the simulator league remains interesting for the viewers.
Wyndham Clark, who featured for The Bay Golf Club in the opening match, has now revealed that TGL producers are encouraging players to be light-hearted and entertaining.
What TGL producers want players to do

Speaking ahead of this week’s AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, Clark detailed instructions he and other TGL players have received.
“I don’t think you have to worry about PGA Tour players not being competitive. They want us to be more light-hearted and entertaining than we’re used to,” Clark said during his pre-tournament press conference.
“So I think our kind of standard way of life is to be cold-hearted killers inside the ropes, try to win, do everything, and be super competitive. So, for us, it’s going to be hard to rein back that and try to be more light-hearted. They’re pushing us to be even more relaxed, have good banter, and just enjoy it.”
Clark’s comments follow criticism of Billy Horschel, who stated that producers had asked players before the third match to keep the game competitive.
Wyndham Clark details TGL feedback
The 2023 US Open winner also discussed the feedback he’d received about the tech-infused venture.
“I got a lot of mixed reviews, a lot of good ones. Obviously, those numbers in the first two weeks were amazing, and then a little drop in week three. And then I hadn’t watched it a ton; I’ve just been busy on the Monday or Tuesday nights, but I turned into this Monday night,” Clark added.

“I got an update on my phone and saw the last two holes in the playoff. I thought it was pretty fun. So, as a player that’s played in it, I think it’s a blast, and then as a player watching, it was pretty fun as well. I think it’s a real cool concept. I selfishly think it’s so much fun. Shane and I talked about that a ton. It’s really fun to play. And if other people got to play it, they would really understand how quick and fun and light-hearted it is.”
The next TGL fixture takes place on February 5 as Boston Common Golf play their second fixture against Los Angeles Golf Club.
